  1. Google Spreadsheets

    October 17, 2013 by scarlettwblcoll

Google spreadsheets are an excel program that your whole class can work on at a time.

Today we used it to write in and compare data.

We could use this program to ask questions to the teacher and have a conversation over the holidays. and you could use it for your sports team to discuss what positons they should play.

7D is a great class as we are all very different and that is good because if every one was the same our world would be very boring.

I did well in the tests we have done

and I need to work on not talking as much in class and listen so i know how to do it.

I really enjoyed learning about the endangered animals and thought I really understood it

now we are learning about water resources and so far it sounds a bit confusing so I need to work on that.

    Science:

I liked learning about the classifcation of animals

but now like in sose water sounds confusing.

  4. Fairy tale by Scarlett Grace and Caitlyn

    September 13, 2013 by scarlettwblcoll

    A fractured fairytale …

    (A) Once upon a time, there lived a boy of ginormous proportions. He had a massive head, giant body and a huge big toe that keep getting caught in things like toasters, rocks and play ground ladders! He was very sad so he went and visited Mr Gnome…

    (B) The gnome never saw it coming. He ran down to the creek to get a sandwich when a sloth jumped on to him, grabbed some cheese and ate it up like a crazy man then he fell to the ground in a fit. The sloth was scared so he went to go and get some medicine from doctor frog…

    (C) “How was I to know the frosting was made of poison ivy!” said Doctor frog, he fell to the ground foam started coming out of my mouth and I started to shake around on the ground like a chicken! Then my good friend the sloth grabbed me and shook me like a dog. I finally woke up to myself and quickly whipped up a time portal so I could see Boris!

    (A) At that very moment, Boris walked through the time portal. He came over to the frog and the sloth and he started to dance around and then the boy joined in and  grabbed his giant big toe and sang into it like a microphone…..

     (B) The discus cleared the fence and flew toward the airport. The sloth tried to stop him but he was heading for the granny flat in the airport, and then one of the grannies turned into a super woman and with her super power of stretch she reached up about 10 feet and then the sloth said….

    (C) It’s funny how windows can seem unimportant until you don’t have one like once the frog doctor  looked out and he saw a chicken and he was like woah windows are important!

    (A) But the flying chairs were the least of their worries because the fire eating turtles came along so I ran for my life! The sloth got scared so he ran up onto the roof and  the nurse said…

    (B) “Hey you dummy – get down!” she yelled. You will get a splinter a have to go to hospital  and have a massive surgery but it was all ok because the ninja snake looked like he was going to help him when he actually tried to kill so he grabbed him in his 3 toes and twisted his neck and twisted it some more and put him down and kicked him then twist his neck a little more so then the ninja snake died so they had a funeral for him but then…..

    (C) The beach seemed like the best escape option at the time. the sloth the with boy of ginormous proportions, the doctor frog and the nurse girl had a swim. Then they started a war with the ninja snake’s ghosts army!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And those that survived lived somewhat comfortably, though in constant fear that another giant was just around the corner.

  5. Reliable and Unreliable Websites.

    August 9, 2013 by scarlettwblcoll

In iLearn today we had to identify a reliable website from a unreliable website.

I searched up moon landing and I found a reliable website

    http://www.australiangeographic.com.au/journal/the-moon-landing-a-defining-moment-in-history.htm

this was a reliable website because it had the name of the author, it was updated resently amd was published the Australian Geographic.

    http://www.kidcyber.com.au/topics/firstmoonlanding.htm

This was a unreliable website because it didn’t have a author.

  6. The Trunky Monkey!

    July 23, 2013 by scarlettwblcoll

In science we got a piece of paper saying:

    Pi-omega

This planet is tropical: wet and hot. most of the planet is covered by rainforest. the planet is very flat. water collects in large pools and lakes which have water in them all year round. A species of poisonous plant grows thickly on the ground. the spines of this plant are poisonous, and any animal which steps on one is sure to die. the vegetation is plentiful, and includes leaves, fruits and nuts. Animals include carnivorous snakes, varieties of insects, monkeys, fish and birds.

then we had to make up a animal that would suit this planet and make it using play-duh (see picture above.) and then we had to write a fact file for it and put it all onto your blog!

    Trunky Monkey

Its Size: Female up to 1 meter. Male up to 1.7 meters.

How it moves: It swings though the tree tops using it’s long arms, legs and tail and it also swims though the water using it’s webbed feet and hands.

What it eats: It eats nuts and cracks them on branches, fruit that grow among the trees and sometimes a fish from the lakes.

How it keeps warm/cool: It builds homes from leaves in the tree tops to keep warm and goes for a swim if to hot.

Where does it shelter: In it’s home that it builds.

How will it protect itself from predators: It has big fangs that come out of it’s mouth and show them to the attacker and they get scared and run away!

    From Scarlett!

  8. Electronics Steady Hand Game!

    May 3, 2013 by scarlettwblcoll

In Electronics we made a steady hand game for children to play with!

Yes the game works because the circuit is all correct.

There was no changes made to my design.

If I could improve it I would make sure I didn’t nail a hole all the way though the bottom of the game.

I found the circuit the easiest part becuuse the diagram easy to understand.

The hardest part was to bend the fence wire into the shape of a fish!

  9. Multiple Intelligences!

    April 26, 2013 by scarlettwblcoll

I completed a survey which said my strengths are, Nature smart, People smart and Picture smart. I agree with this Because I lkie to be with my  friends and family, I love animals and nature and I prefer to look at pictures than read words! i found it Interesting that I was a people person than a body person!

  10. Hints for Effective Google searches.

    April 19, 2013 by scarlettwblcoll

To do a good Google search you use key word’s quotation marks and plus signs!

Good example:” nuber of rabbit speics”+Australia

Bad Example: how many speics of rabbits in australia.
